Can it be 1976 again!! Minister for water required! Never mind Brexit & all the B- locks!
Almost runner beaned out here already! Haven't tried them with yoghurt! Yet! All fledged from the bird box, "Great Tits" hope they did ok!

I've been glued to the fan for most of that day, I'm waiting for it to cool down before I water the plants.
Maybe the weather will break soon, school holidays are imminent.
1976! Ah, I remember it well, I was expecting my daughter at the time. I would waddle to work and go straight to the ladies and call for help. Why the ladybirds liked hair I shall never know.
Lovely. The personal memories! 1976. Didn't see that many ladybirds myself in the office/factory! 1977 far more interesting! Steamy spring/summer & change of job ! It's all cabbage whites here at the moment & flying ants on the way soon. ATB
Look what happened last time - it started raining and rained until Christmas...
Never noticed! Where was I! Oh! Well! Thanks for the update! Always catching up I am!
Must have been 1976:

September and October were exceptionally wet!
That was entertaining PMR pro. Don't see the old hanky on the head & rolled up trousers now days!
Hope they did okay too. Remember 1976, my sister got married and we travelled from Yorkshire to Sussex in a Simca van, talk about roasted chickens....... Got flying ants here today and I must have disturbed an ants nest but got the blighters with the Nippon, it must be years old but it still worked.
Ah so! Not sure if that's still sold these days! Keep well away from the nostrils! A Simca van!!! I was flying around in a Hillman Imp. Life in the fast lane eh!
Didn't realise that - thanks for the nostril tip! Yes, thought we were posh it had seats in the back, it was for hubby's work going round the sites (civil engineer). My now late Aunt came with us and she said it was a lovely journey! Hillman Imp was hubby's first car!
The long hot summer of 76😎we travelled to beautiful Cornwall in our Cortina and it rained.
Was that a Mark 1 Cortina? Had two of those. Think they only had one key & two colours! The number of times I got into someone else's!! Someone got into my 1st one & never came back with it!
Not sure what it was,but it was green with a red bonnet 😂due to damage. Husband was always tinkering with it and underneath it while it was on jacks😮Fun times!
Think most were green or grey. Yes many fun times, except when it wouldn't start after stopping somewhere in the middle of nowhere! Ah! the days of fiddling about with a spanner, screwdriver, hammer & carburettor with a mind of it's own!
Very pleased with my runner beans despite planting late and no water on the allotments they have achieved the top of the wigwams and in full flower so it won't be long.... Picking broad beans and Bobby beans and some peas, I think that all the muck (my neighbour has four horses) I've put on my plot over the years is paying off.xxx
Lucky you with all that muck! Be good for the rhubarb too! Sure keeps the ground warm in Winter if it's fresh!
We've already had some rummer beans and our first lot of French beans yesterday. Mmmm delicious. Unfortunately the blackfly have got a lot of the runner beans 😡
No blackfly at the moment here. Going to be a lot of cabbage white caterpillars soon though!
