Would help if you told us what dose you are on, what you have - PMR or GCA, how long you’ve been on Pred. Any other symptoms?

ballyboy, do you have PMR, GCA or both, and what is your present steroid dose? We can better help if we have a little more information. Have you tried paracetamol?

How is the head tingling/pain today? Have you tried taking Paracetamol? If you do have to increase the Pred by couple of msg to see if that helps, you are unlikely to get any side effects from such a low dose.

I'm not an expert ballyboy. Have GCA myself. Best go see your Doc with a tingling headpain & your previous GCA experience. These illnesses do not go away easily as most would say on this forum. Hope that helps.
