Taking it easy! Ha!Ha! What joy!

Take the pressure off & chill out. What! You must be joking. What a week!! Bath mixer tap jammed, water pouring through ceiling light in the kitchen. Floor tiles coming loose in the kitchen diner(whole lot got to come up). Then the boiler packs in & it's in the loft. It's been quite cold this week too hasn't it? Oh! And gone down with the lurgy now! Just thought I would bring a little cheer to my fellow sufferers. There's always someone.......etc. Looking forward to easy street next week! ATB

What an absolute nightmare. I hope you got an emergency plumber quickly. Did you deal with it all yourself? I bet that wasn’t cheap.

Is it all sorted now. I try to look at the positive benefits after the storm. Like the house looking better than before and a shiny new tap and my personal survival.

I’ve got a fleet of decorators coming and no paint has been delivered due to the snow aargh!

I was in a sort of stunned denial zone. It was finding out were the hell the water was coming from. The bath was still running but scorching hot, the bathroom was like a sauna. Turned all water off for upstairs. Our local plumber came in next day & sorted the tap. Boiler had been playing up for a few weeks. 5 days without hot water till our heating engineer could fit a new combi. We could use the rads if the system was kept topped up but it was a worry. The kettle got a belting just like the old days. We were lucky the electrics dried out. Hope you get on ok with the decorators. Find a nice quiet spot & let em make their own tea.!!

You have my sympathy Pepperdoggie. Do hope your multiple problems can be solved quickly. If you saw my post this morning you'll know my daughter managed to scald herself badly because of boiling water spillage - trying to wash with boiler not functioning. Result severe burns and total disruption of her life for several weeks to come - no driving, no work, 3x weekly visit to Chelsea burns unit, not able to stay in house grandson and dog boarding (school and friend's house respectively) and then add the final stage of messy divorce proceedings and extremely vindictive husband to the mix... And the weather has prevented me from seeing her until next week. As you say there's always someone!

OH MY GOODNESS! Seriously??? You must be, because you couldn't make that shit up!!!!! I must say I admire your upbeat seemingly positive attitude! I'm not sure I'd be so gracious about it. It was just yesterday, I was yelling (there may have been some cursing) at some household object, because it had not met my (probably ) unrealistic expectations...There was a lot of slamming and heavy feelings of persecution... If I had had your week, I may have come UNGLUED! I'm very impressed Pepperdoggie!
