I have only been on an anti-inflammation diet since Dec 2017, so about 2 months, but as I wrote in my first post, the great results in my CRP and Sed rates in just one month are so dramatic, I feel my diet has to be helping. If not, at least it is helping my weight!

Thank you for this article.

Interesting reading. More reason to get my eating sorted out.

I followed a low carb diet for 12 months which was pretty much eating the foods recommend and I definitely felt more energised. Not sure my pain levels reduced but I was definitely able to do more with out suffering the consequences. Since Christmas I've slipped back a bit and have had some biscuits, bread and other naughty stuff and I'm paying the price, more stiffness, less energy etc. CRP level quite good though at 7.

Yes it's really interesting to hear how people feel better when they manage to do this lo carb thing. All the more reason to try harder.

Thank you for sharing this interesting article, food for thought. Sorry. First flurries of “the beast from the east” this morning, not looking forward to a cold icy week.

I am definitely going to cut out the biscuits and pastry! I am having a flying visit this weekend from my children in Scotland to celebrate my birthday and also attend my niece's 40th birthday. My 2 daughters and son-in-law are now Vegans so they will be giving me some tips on healthy eating. I have managed to find them non-dairy milk and spread, and vegan spiced burgers. The restaurant we are going to have provided 2 choices of Vegan food for them, well done to the Snooty Fox in Warminster.

Indian restaurants are also a good bet with vegans. My Scottish daughter and granddaughter are also both vegan. Where do yours live?

They live in Rhu, near Helensburgh on the West coast near Glasgow. We have a nice Indian Restaurant near us where we are going on Sunday.

Thanks for the reminder. Being with my 94 year old mother who is becoming more forgetful with each visit, I have turned to food for comfort...pizza, fried shrimp and cheesecake! Will go back on the healthy plan when I go home today.

Just what I said in a post a few days ago to a new member!!

When reading the article please note that there is a typo which is throughout the whole article.

For inflammation 6,7, 10 etc it should say Interleukin-6,7, 10 and so on. Good to see yet another article confirming this.

Thank you, Heron NS

Diet table very interesting but leaves me wondering why I have OA. I suppose if I did not eat daily at least 70% of the foods listed I might be even worse.

Really interesting - very informative combined with a medical input.

Thank you for sharing this link. My maths teacher once used statistics to prove that storks brought babies. Designed to make us think.

My husband was once in a maths lecture at uni where 2 possible solutions to an equation were put up on the board and they were asked to vote on which was correct.

Well now I know how to get everyone's undivided attention. Post a link to an article proposing that a nice well balanced diet is a healthy idea. Cheers!
