toot toot. must toot my own horn. My UK publisher has just put up my collection of short stories on AMAZON in both the UK and USA. Paperback (no more hardcovers) and I am OVER THE MOON and glad I did this BEFORE PMR! Off topic I know but HAPPINESS !!!

Hi Bonnie

I decided NOT to publish / distribute my first book via Amazon etc. due to their complex business procedures and quite high royalties for self / on-demand publishing - which would erode any profit margin after production costs for a relatively small-run production in the PMRGCA audience context. This route would also leave far less to contribute to the PMRGCAuk Charity in terms of donations from net sale proceeds. So, I have kept the process 'In House' at the moment, to keep things simple and also help PMRGCAuk as best I can financially.

That said, quite a few of 'You PMRGCA Lot' (especially outside of the UK!) have expressed an interest in an e.version of my book. So, I'm looking into how to publish and distribute it by that method very soon. Also, my 'Write Me Funny..' book website will be operational shortly with a Paypal facility, so that should enable things generally.

Great to know about your book - I'll take a look in more detail very soon. Ha - 'Boyfriends'? I could write a Mirror Image book about 'Girlfriends'! But better not say any more on that topic right now... ;-/

thank you!. Maybe it is ..the reason we get the disease... I had thought, reading this before, that everyone seems so bright and fit... and by doing so much or being in so many places at once..(so many hard worker helping people ..not so my my bent alas...) maybe we leave ourselves open to PMR...

Yes - an interesting idea - it made me think of this article I read a while ago about depleted cortisol levels and people who exercise 'too much' (although I am obviously not saying this is the same or even linked to us getting PMR/GCA) :
