Hi Lyon and welcome to this site, so glad you found us. I had not been familiar with the condition that you have Mgus and the medication you have been prescribed DMARDs. I looked them up briefly - not much further forward except that Mgus can be asymptomatic.
As the expertise on this site mainly centres on PMR and GCA, I would be interested in how your PMR has been affecting you. I have just clocked that this is your third post. I was struck by your high starting dose for PMR and your needing to go to 18 mgs from 12,5. I expect that these questions might be answered in your previous posts. What you are looking for is others who have been diagnosed with the blood disorder Mgus and perhaps have experience of DMARDs the medication . Not sure where the shaking and nausea came from. Does your Rheumie think it was Pred related?
I am so glad that you have found your optimum dose for now. As others have said, the nausea and shaking can come from Pred side effects and the dizziness and yet you obtained relief from a drug for another condition? Those symptoms for me were fleeting.
It is probably too early in the morning for me to think straight but I am not feeling the recognition I usually feel when PMR sufferers describe their symptoms. Wishing you well!🌸
The Arava is to be taken with Pred, to help with the Polymyalgia . There are no symptoms or treatment for Mgus, it was picked up incidentally in my poly blood tests.
I am only being treated for Polymyalgia rheumatica.😊😀
