Sorry to hear your diagnosis Mark - but having the right diagnosis is the first step to sorting it out. All the very best.
Very sorry to hear your diagnosis Mark. I hope you'll find a good group and I wish you'll have the best treatment in Boston.
Wish you all the best.
Mark, so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Another nasty disease. I have GCA and PMR...as well as a few other issues. Sjogrens and Fibro. Then there are always the problems that arrive after the meds start.
My husband's brother has fought Multiple Myeloma for about 9+ years. He has great medical care in the Cincinnatti area. ( We live in the states) . Seems each time his numbers start going in a direction the doctors don't like...they put him on something new. Recently that happened....was doing poorly for a short time...weeks. Put him on something new and is now back to working out daily and getting ready to play golf.
We, also, have a neighbor who was diagnosed two or three years ago. Her care is from Arkansas. She is also receiving a type of chemo our brother in law is now using. I don't know the details but it goes in for a very direct hit....less damage to normal cells. She is in remission. She's a beautiful, 78 year old woman who is still selling real estate.
It isn't easy but can be handled. Need to find aggressive doctors and push for the latest treatments.
Will be praying for you and your doctors,
CJ
All the very best, Mark, for a successful treatment. Thinking of you with love and prayers and hope you find a supportive group. Don't forget that we are all still here for you, Mark. God bless. xx 💜
Hi mark, sorry to hear of your diagnosis and wish you all the best. Even if you find the site you needed to talk to other sufferers with same condition still pop back in here for a chat to us.
Sorry to hear. The C word is really scary but rapid strides are being made.
NHS link might be of help:-
Hi Mark. Could you be the one to start up a group?
Dear Mark
That must of been so difficult to hear and I am sure you are stiil absorbing the diagnosis.
be kind to yourself, give yourself time to gather your resolve .I am sure each day will have a new emotion.
I find that some forums are very negative, and therefore can be very scary
places. Finding this site and "Patient" was such an unexpected gift,
Its spirit ,though honest, is one of strength and support.
I hope you find one with that same spirit. And I wish you well
on this journey to wellness .
Gina
Hello Mark, I'm very sorry to hear your news, you must be reeling. At least now things can be properly focused, and I wish you all the best for your treatment.
So sorry to hear your news, Mark, but at least having a definitive diagnosis means that you can get started on treatment and I wish you all the success in the world with that.
With regard to your query about a Myloma Support Group, there is one in the UK on the following link which might help - good luck:
So sorry to hear your news Mark which must have been quite a shock, but now thankfully you have a definite diagnosis.
