Yes PMRpro more than agree - and a whole bunch of other nasties - which make what most of us have look like a 'tea-party'. Imagine just having a tooth pulled then - I often thank my lucky stars despite the imperfections of 'modern medicine' that I am the beneficiary of the 'best' bits of that - and of course a lot of us would be dead before our 'advanced' (then) ages anyway ... so lets be 'jolly' (maybe - after all of that) !

I assume that is also why PMR and GCA are relatively "new" and unknown. PMR was first described in 1888 but wouldn't have been that common for a long time - people didn't live long enough in the first place to develop it and when they did - it was "old age".
