The chronic fatigue has lifted and I have my energy back! The old me is returning and all in time for Xmas.
So what’s happened and what’s changed? Was it the supplements? Various alternative treatments , the Preds, don’t think there is one specific answer but I handed my notice in at work 10 days ago from a very stressful teaching job and the relief is literally enormous. That may well have shifted something!
Today I went for a swim and a 20 minute gentle walk. I am taking 1mg per day until I see my GP in the New Year and then it’s a discussion about coming down again and off the Preds completely.
But the fatigue lifting is just incredible and finding the old me again is nothing short of a miracle 🙏
So there is hope one year on I feel there is definatley a light at the end of the tunnel.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and most importantly thank you all for your support it has been invaluable x

Well done, but be very careful as you come off that last 1 mg. I was down to 1.5 mg about six months ago and a premature attempt (actually a couple of attempts) to reduce to 1 mg triggered a flare which I have still not recovered from. Still at 4 reducing to 3.5, having had to go as high as 7 for a few days to get a handle on things. Not saying this will happen to you, or even to very many people who get so low, but I honestly thought that I might be in remission when I reduced without apparent difficulty from 2 to 1.5 and my doctor suggested I use up my pills, stop and see what happened. Even without being quite as extreme and abrupt as that I found out to my chagrin what would happen! So, really, be very careful, very slow, and then you should avoid this kind of problem! All the best!
Wow! That is soo positive. It gives me great hope. Long may it continue! Treat yourself gently in 2018 they say it takes 12 months to properly recover. Lucky, lucky you!
I so can relate to you. I had the same experience although my old self came because of Actemra. I know how horrible the fatigue can be and I had to deal with it since September. I'm very happy for you. Good luck on your journey and a very Happy New year, Monika
Not off completely !! Will wait until I see the doc as I hear that tapering at this very low level is really difficult and I know that I have to be very careful x
I have also handed in my notice from a stressful job and I actually left there on the 21st Dec.I can say too that I have felt the weight lifted from my shoulders as I've been hanging on by my fingertips for months!
