Get well soon! I'm so pleased you had the gumption to go to A&E - I hope they were kind to you.

Did they not have emergency appointments at the practice? If not - make a complaint when you are better.

The same thing happened to me last year, two weeks before Xmas, luckily two lots of strong antibiotics cleared it eventually, hope you get well soon, I know how miserable it is. For the first time, I had the pneumonia jab a few weeks ago.......don't want it again!...good luck.....

My experience also,,... I had pheumonia in March, and again in September!! Still being treated, since the last xray showed an unresolved lesion in my lung😳. Apparently I had an unresolved sinus infection which could have “kindled” the second bout of pneumonia.

Subsequent CT scan showed the same area in lung, could be scarring, could be area of collapsed cells, could be ???

My GP referred me to a pulmonologist, meeting next week.

This is not fun...I’m really trying to boost my immune sustem,,,after 4 years on prednisone! Hopefully avoid further events like this.

Good luck to you, Keep us posted. Jerri

Thank goodness you're in the right place to be helped now! Good for you going to A&E I know it's an ordeal. It's really not good enough having to wait so long for a GP's appointment. I didn't realise that we were lucky or unusual but I ring the surgery between 8.30am and 10.30am and always get an appointment the same day.. it's different faces all the time though, doctors getting their GP training, but the newly trained sometimes have a fresh perspective.

Get well soon, you must have been feeling dreadful.
