Morning everyone. I was diagnosed with GCA a year ago and was initially on 60mg of Pred. Am now down to 10mg and have started to get "pain" in my eyes. Difficult to explain. No problem seeing. The pain is when I look up or down or to the side. Is this tiredness or something more serious? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Not sure, but if it were me, I'd get an appointment with optician as soon as you can. If you have GCA you'll be having regularly appointment with one anyway, so shouldn't be a problem to get in fairly easily. If you don't have a regular one, then explain you have GCA and are a bit concerned, that should get you an early appointment.
Don't think it's GCA (from personal experience) but as we always say - best to get it checked.
Thank you Dorset Lady. Will see if this persists and then follow up as you suggest. Been a stressful weekend so perhaps other issues causing this. Thanks again.
Doesn't sound like classic GCA from what I've had and read, but definitely worth checking out to rule out other things. For example your eye pressures may have been affected by Pred which is just as important to avoid getting out of hand.
Thank you, SnazzyD. Hadn't thought about eye pressure. As I have just said to DorsetLady, feel stressful weekend may have has some impact so going to so see if this persists and then perhaps take myself to the optician.
I am bothered by awful eye strain sometimes that sounds like yours. It happens if I have had my nose in a book too much or on the computer excessively. They feel photosensitive too. All tests clear. No medics think it is GCA. Optician is sick of the sight of me.
