Extra Prednisone?

Should extra prednisone be take if I have an upset stomach? It has happened twice now , where I have had a stomach upset and had worsening PMR symptoms at the end of the day.

As long as the pred stays in your stomach for an hour it should have been absorbed - but if you are having problems with returning symptoms possibly you aren't absorbing it properly. However - I find that if I am ill with something else, whether it is a cold or a stomach upset I feel PMR pain more. I think then it is the stress of the other problem just making the PMR autoimmune bit more active.

Wouldn't take extra for reason PMRpro says, probably enough in your system, unless you're not keeping any down. And there's not a lot you can do about that. Just give yourself some extra TLC, plenty of rest, fluids, keep warm and sleep.
