Prednisone

Do you have to take prednisone the same time everyday? I need milk and food with it and have a dr appt early to fast for. Maybe one day with water won’t hurt my stomach. Take pred at 6 and appt at 9 am. Even little things are complicated

Like I always say....I'm no doctor....but one day of fasting for better test results should not give you any problems.... ;)

Taking your pred a couple of hours late wont do you any harm but you may feel more achy. Take it as soon as you can after your appt.

If you are fasting for blood tests and the appointment is at 9am I think it would probably be better to wait until the blood has been taken before taking the daily dose. Take a snack and drink with you and take it immediately they have taken the blood.

I’ve taken a flask of tea and a banana to the appointment and then scoffed it in the car afterwards.

No breakfast isn't a problem - no tea is though!!! Takes at least 2 (china) mugs full to be even civilised ...

I have forgotten my pred until afternoon on a few occasions. If you are taking it daily a few hours late on one occasion won't hurt. I only notice the missed dose if I forget for a whole day. Then the next day takes ages to kick in.
