Thank you ladies for your replies, I did not go to the docs today as I just didn't feel able. However I continued to drink my concoctions as in my last post, plus plenty of water. I have also had some steam inhalations today and my cough is starting to get productive. I have taken paracetamol this evening. If I am no better in the morning I still have a chance of seeing a dr at our little surgery. In the meantime as you advised I have left the pred at the same dose.Thank,you all very much.
