There is a new series out, available for a short time, that may explain the reasons for Auto-Immune Disorders. I know it was a theory that was discussed in the PMR/GCA book that most of us have read, but many doctors are now having success with their patients, and that all disorders have to do with the GUT!! They talk about getting to the root cause of the problem (in the gut) instead of just using medications to cover up the problem. Thank you very much for posting this thread which is of immense interest to me.

I did post a thread about this precise issue some months ago seeking responses from those who may have had gut/intestinal issues prior to their PMR diagnosis. I had a mixed bag of interesting responses.

I was diagnosed with collagenous colitis (aka leaky gut) a little over a year AFTER I was diagnosed with PMR. I'm thinking the colitis probably came first but took longer to show the symptoms.

I don't know if the link is showing up but t's a really good series, and I urge everyone to watch it. They are selling DVD's for the series too, but they wanted to make it available free for everyone for a short time.

It all makes so much sense! They believe they found the ROOT CAUSE for auto-immune disorders, because many people are being healed. I heard there's 2000 people on the waiting list to get into the Cleveland Clinic to become a patient.

I've always wondered what is causing my PMR, and that every medication I take is just a bandaid. They don't cure the problem! They have a list of Functional Dr.s that will know more about this if you email or give them a call.
