Swollen cheek

Hi Everyone

Just wondered if anyone has had this whilst on Pred(I'm on 9mg for last two months)

My right cheek is slightly swollen and I had what felt like little pins being prodded into it for about 1 week and now it has gone numb.

Any ideas?

Think I'd run that past a doctor, GP at the very least. Doesn't sound familiar to me though.

I get numbness quite a bit in the cheek and the upper gums with suspected GCA. I'm not sure if it's a side effect or the GCA itself.

I'm only very new to all this myself. Only went to Dr with my problems 5 weeks ago. Put straight onto 40mg preds, now on 50mg. Seems that GCA requires higher preds than PMR. I have my first reaumy appointment on the 4th Nov.

Awe I hope it goes ok and that you get things sorted. Can be a bit distressing this PMR and GCA .
