Is there a 1mg Prednisolone tablet?

My only experience thus far is steroids in a 5mg or 2.5mg format but after advice from Rheumatologist that I should move from 10mg to 9mg and then in 1mg steps I assume there is a 1mg tablet? Please can someone confirm so I can place a shipping order on my next repeat prescription? Thanks!

Yep, there most certainly is. White uncoated, just right for cutting in half should you need to at lower doses!

Thanks for swift reassurance! When I first tried to order 2.5mg I was rebuffed by GP through receptionist that there was no such measure. So I wanted to be prepared this time around. Thanks again!

In US, 1 mg. Tabs are available. Good luck.

There certainly is in the UK. Never sure about the US though I see Purplecrow says there is. Loads of people claim they can't get it.

There isn't an enteric-coated version - not cost effective they claim.

Don't waste your time asking GPs and even less the receptionists - ask the pharmacist, not the counter staff either. They are the fount of all wisdom when it comes to drugs...

Yes, they are definitely available in the US, as that's what I'm using.

Over the last five years, I seem to have accumulated a stockpile of 1mg tablets. I'm hoping that it won't be long before I'll be free of them.

They're available in Canada.

I get 5mg and 1mg uncoated tablets in UK. I am hoping I can get 2mg so I can reduce to 9mg (5 + 2x2mg)

Mmmmm....not thought there might be a 2mg (because there is a 2.5mg) I was planning to use a 5mg and 4x1mg when I go down to 9mg in January.

Hi DevonMichael,

I'm seeing the specialist in Bath for the first time on Monday, I will ask him.

Yes. Am currently taking 8mg one day and 9mg the next then 8mg for a month then 7/8 and so on etc. This consists of 1×8mg + 4 or 5 x 1mg. Tiny white which I,d never be able to cut in half without a microscope!

Meant one times five mg above

Thanks! It appears the 1mg is the currency around low doseage levels.
