Your red face is probably due to flushing which is a common complaint from those on steroids, along with 'hamster cheeks' and 'buffalo hump', to name but a few of the possible listed side effects. It will improve as the dose is reduced.
You have the link to it on here now so I'll just add that the red face is partly due to pred (the lovely farmer's wife glow that makes everyone comment on how well you look, HUH!) and - since it is spring, the sun is getting stronger, and many people find that they burn much more easily when on pred. Use sunscreen - even if you don't normally! For the last 2 years at about 5mg pred I have been tanning as I always have done but recently have had to go back to 15mg - and already I have cheerful cheeks and a pink decolletage again. Again - HUH!
A friend of mine on 7mg with myasthena gravis has a terribly red face with pred. He was most upset the other day when someone asked him if he had just been on holiday!
The only good thing about PMR and preds if their is a good thing is I have lovely rosy red cheeks never had them before always pale .And my eye lashes and nails appear to grow longer each day.
No need for false nails or lashes I could do with a new body but you cant have everything .
