Why do I feel dizzy and light headed all of the time?

ALL the time? How's your BP? Have you asked the doc? Because you really should.

BP is fine saw nurse 3 weeks ago she said it was perfect

Have you talked to your GP? It could be a ear infection for example. Although it could be something totally different, even a side effect of pred.

I had labyrinthitis four years ago. It was horrible, constant vertigo and vomiting. The doctor even visited me! It was a virus, so it's possible that you have caught something. At present my sinuses are playing up and have affected my inner ear which has made me dizzy and nauseous - at least that's my diagnosis! Hope you get to the bottom of it soon. Fortunately (?) not every symptom can be attributed to PMR or pred!

Thanks for your reply I do suffer from sinus problems so maybe it is that

I started PMR in October 2014. Violent muscular spasms around and just above the waist occurred at the same time. The consultants were (and are) mystified. After 6 months of pred the PMR pains were reduced to almost zero but the spasms continued. Soon after the spasms were replaced by a heavy ache affecting the same set of muscles - at the same time my eyes and upper head began to feel congested. This was accompanied by spells of mild dizziness and difficulties with walking in a straight line. The symptoms tend to be periodic - I have even had one or two days when I have been almost free of them. Kidney problems have now been excluded. I am currently on 7mg pred.

Hi I like you have had the odd day when I felt better but today I am back with dizzy head and heavy legs fed up with it

Yes i too have dizziness and also blurred vision every day, still on 9mg pred, have just started getting bad muscle ache in my calves, doctor says it could be pred having reaction with my BP medication which can cause this. Anyone else suffering from sore calve muscles???

yes I do but I think its more likely walking that I do to try and get rid of the dizziness Vicious circle isn't it

Yes maybe you right, my head does feel better when i am out in fresh air walking which i try to do every day.
