reading others post re twitching etc I have recently developed a sort of tingling/trembling particularly in upper arms. It has certainly got worse in the recent cold weather although I'm not cold.

Trembling etc
What dose are you on, Kingharold? I developed a really annoying twitch in my eyelids recently, although it seems to have gone away the last few days. I'm at 7 mg.
I had that - with PMR and no pred. It improved after starting pred.
You may not FEEL cold, but the microcirculation in the muscles (the very small blood vessels also called capillaries) may be constricting because of the cold - and the muscles are reacting to the poor supply of oxygen and nutrients.
Multiple layers of thin items is far warmer than fewer of thick clothes - and a hot water bottle makes a big difference I find.
Our forecast is for -19C overnight on Monday morning! I hope that doesn't last too long! Time to get the wood up from the cellar for the woodburner methinks...
Thanks for your reply it isn't that cold here yet but there was a frost this morning.
Wendy, I experienced a couple of episodes of tingling/trembling whilst on steroids at different doses. It is actually listed among the most common side effects of Pred, and it seems to strike at any time along the Pred journey. My episodes just came and went without any intervention, and I do hope your's will, too. Meanwhile, keep warm even if you don't feel the need!
Try keeping your head warm hat scaf when outside, even a turben or similar inside find this +layers as pro said makes me feel a lot better
