Thank you everyone for your words of support on Sunday. Yesterday and today were much better physically and emotionally. Called the rheumy and they got me in a week earlier so I'll see them Sept.16. I've learned a hard lesson, as much as I hate to take the pain meds, I need to and not let the pain get ahead of me. Saw my ND today and we tweaked a couple supplements and we discussed how to help my body as I taper down. So nice to have a really supportive ND and GP. Got notice that my employer submitted their part of my claim for disability insurance so that's in the works. All in all good things. Hope everyone is doing well so far this week!

Better days
Never let pain get away from you! It's all the harder to get under control again.
Good luck
PamelAnne, although we're all here to support each other through whatever the day brings with this illness, it's always wonderful to read a 'good news story' when someone suddenly finds themselves in a better place. This is not an easy condition to get one's head around in the early days, but it sounds as though you are doing well in that direction. Your post will prove a good morale boost for many other new sufferers, I'm sure, and I'm so glad that things are looking up for you all round - I still wouldn't rush to clean that bedroom though!!
I think it's important to share the good and the bad, for everyone. This disease is an insidious beast. I've no doubt it will take me a long time to adjust to the fact that I can be 'fine' and minutes later be 'flat'!
I am pacing myself. Each day I choose things that HAVE to get done (must have clean knickers, buy food) and things I'd LIKE to do (clean the toilet, make the bed). What get's accomplished all well and good, what doesn't "oh well". I'm sure I'll stumble from time to time!
We've had a lovely change in the weather overnight, the humidity is gone and it was cool when I woke up at 6am to take my meds. First morning I haven't woken up sweaty in weeks. YAY!!
I plan one thing I will do each day. I am not as house proud as you PamelAnn so it is usually pampering myself rather than cleaning!
Me too - housework? What's housework?
Though I did unpack and play with my new Dyson yesterday - but it is really for the occasional cleaning lady not for me! She doesn't speak English and Mr Dyson doesn't waste paper on multiple user manuals so I need to know what's what.
If I use it for long the pain down the right side of my back reminds me why I need her...
