Protruding veins ?
Hi Alice1940, I also have protruding veins. My GP said it was vasculitis. Babs
I put mine down to old age!
I have been on prednisone for over 5years, the guide I have always used is if you have it every afternoon and evening but not in the morning then it is the steroids, and yes my veins are huge at night. Still on 11mg so side effects still there but some not so bad as others. I long for the day !!
I have had severe pain in the hands resulting in me having great difficulty in doing things. My rheumy said that it was s symptom of my pmr and suggested increasing Pred by 1mg. It worked, and has done since whenever it happens. I would not describe mine as cramp pain though. It was on the knuckles and the pads on the other side of the knuckles. Try magnesium which is good for cramps, you can even get in an oil form to rub into painful areas. If that doesn't help increase your Pred slightly.hope it settles
Yes, I too get this not every day, sometimes fine, and sometimes feel like I am 115 years old. Was really weird, but just figured that if this disease is artery related supposedly temporal, think it could control the entire body. Just my opinion, as it comes and goes. As long as it does not stay that way all the time I am happy, will ask my Rheumy when I see her.
It's not age. I had it for years and years..it got visibly worsened after V. So I put money on it's V. Might be worth asking on Vasculits forum?
