In what way?

Many alternative practitioners (osteopathy, Bowen) believe that muscle problems, especially in the back, can affect the gut. I can't say my gut is significantly better when the PMR is under control - but I did have abdominal pain before I was put onto pred that went away eventually. When I don't know, I just realised it had gone, but I suspect it may have had something to do with a reduced blood supply to the mesentery - which can be seen in some forms of vasculitis. No proof though.

Yes I had bowel problems for about three months, and after seeing my doctor he sent me for tests at the hospital, which was very uncomfortable but it put my mind at rest, I had a colonoscopy, and apart from finding a couple of polyps, all was ok, I did have them removed and it seemed to help, after adjusting my steroids it settled down, I am careful about what I eat, as eating things like nuts, seeds, chocolate, or too much fruit, can start a flare up, I hope you can get your problem sorted soon, as it's not the nicest thing to suffer with, best wishes
