Care after biopsy
I was back to buisness as usual next day. I work as a nurse and was back caring for my patients. It's not much different to a trip to the dentist, pain is less than a dental trip as well. If you feel well and pain is controlled there is no reason not to be doing things. 2 days in bed is a bad idea it will increase the risk of thrombosis. Regards Runtig
With runrig all the way! Let him run around behind you for a change but no, don't stay in bed. You may feel a bit fragile - working in the NHS does make us fairly hardy, I was up and about supervising gardening the day after having a large piece of metalwork removed from my leg, but you might feel a bit wobbly just at the thought of it.
Keep moving but avoid the housework!
Nothing to it, like runrig01 said "It's like a trip to the dentist" I was back to work the following day.
Thanks a lot for the input he has just read your answers I don't fuss had milignent melanoma 33 years ago still going strong what can I give him to do clean the oven or go fishing
FISHING.
Maybe a big hug and do something together, the weather is so nice.
Agree with others. I had the temporal artery biopsy Dec 20, 2013. Was happy that I was out and couldn't see or hear anything. I was shocked that the biopsy was positive for GCA...I didn't have any of the telltale symptoms (other than slight headache). Never had any pain or side effects of any kind. I took it easy the next day or so...but, it wasn't necessary to stay in bed. The pain from PMR was the "killer" from mid-Oct until finally able to see rheumatologist in early Dec. I now have a love/hate relationship with Prednisone!
