Not Always PMR/GCA

Among several other afflictions, I also have osteoarthritis. I'm now in line for a replacement hip and after that a new knee. It would have been useful if they had been for the same leg, but providence (or something) decided otherwise. I was always the awkward one!

Why not just ask for both to be removed and replaced with wheels?????????

Now there's a thought! But I've applied to have the newest pneumatic ones fitted so that I just glide!

I'm afraid I disagree with you, my diet is customised for me. Thank you for your interest, but further details are not required.

Don't Ask for both to be done at the same time You would'nt have a leg to stand on if you get my drift.

Mike, I haven't got one now! I'm thinking a sledge for the winter would be a good thing!

In my experience, it takes only a few weeks for you to be mobile after a hip op. One day I went to the corner shop on my crutches and on my way back spotted that the Tesco delivery had arrived half an hour early at my gate. Would you believe that without even thinking about it, I ran with my crutches? Your surgeon and physios will tell you how soon it's wise to have the other leg done. Never mind a sledge, I think a mini-hovercraft would be ideal.

What a good idea! Any more suggestions anyone? I tried growing wings, but it didn't 'take'.
