Does one need to pay for Tolvaptan?

Hi,

Just been to see my specialist and as my kidney has started to decline have decided to give Tolvaptan a go. Does anyone know if one needs to pay for the prescription or if the NHS funds it? I work so no exemption from other prescriptions such as blood pressure meds.

Thanks a lot.

Hi if you are on Facebook join "PKD charity UK" there are lots of people on there on Tolvaptan, they should be able to help, but my understanding is that it's funded under licence through the hospital. Do you have a pre paid prescription?
