Perfusion
MRI. If so wants it like and how long does it take.?

I was told yesterday I needed this test. Anyone had experience of this? Feeling nervous.

chest pains
Over the last 2 years I have had intermittent chest discomfort symptoms which tie up with unstable angina, although nitro spray doesn't help. 2 years ago had a myocardial
perfusion
scan which showed good blood flow to the heart. Still getting the discomfort, though.

Angina at rest but not when exercising
I have confirmed myocardial ischemia during a mycocardial
perfusion
scan , and unobstructed arteries , confirmed by an angiogram , I do have narrowing in one section but nothing worth stenting .

Lack.of information from doctors
Where I spent the next 12 days( I still don't know I was in for so long) I had an angiogram on the 1st of December and an MRI
perfusion
and CT scan I have been diagnosed with coronary artery spasms that triggers polymorphic VT, microvascular angina and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

Myocardial perfusion investigation
Has anybody had one of these tests. This is to see how the blood is flowing through the heart by speeding up the heart rate. I am concerned as I have atrial fibrilation most of the time. The beta blocker slows down the heart rate yet they seem happy for me to take my usual dose on the day of the test

struggling
After a dodgy ECG I had a cardio MRI which came up with “subendocardial
perfusion
consistent with microvascular dysfunction “! The nightmare didn’t stop there because I went to develop horrendous symptoms consistent with rheumatoid arthritis- the pain every morning is unbearable.

PSA level from 4 (Dec 2023) to 22 (present)
He is scheduled for an MPI (myocardial
perfusion
imaging) that is estimated for September. Is his raising level of PSA not concerning? My parents are planning to return to their home town, Taiwan, to get quicker results and treatment.

Definitive diagnosis of GCA after 7 years
I had a negative biopsy and no jaw claudication nor effects to eyesight but scans of my kidneys showed hypo
perfusion
(slow blood flow) of blood. My rheumatologist said it was atypical GCA and he worked on symptoms not test results.

Don't accept the first answer
I wrote here a few months ago after I'd had an MPI (Myocardial
Perfusion
Imaging) scan showing mild damage to the anterior wall of my heart. I was told I had angina and put on several medications.

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
I had a NM Myocardial
Perfusion
scan in February 2024. This showed that part of my heart muscle was not getting an adequate blood supply. Shortly after that I had a echocardiogram which showed that my LVEF was 47% plus a few other "mild/borderline" results.

Running with angina
The scan came back showing mild heart damage with a part of my anterior wall not receiving enough oxygen during a stress test through myocardial
perfusion
imaging test.. I’m told I have angina.

Ranazalone 375mg. Too nervous to take it.
Long story short I'm now waiting for cardiac
perfusion
mri and in A&E vasovagul spasm and syncope was a possibility so have been prescribed Ranazalone and although it should have been given last night it is tonight that I've actually been given it.

MRI and beta blocker
Have just got an appointment through for a cardiac MRI
perfusion
test. They have told me to stop the beta blocker for 48 hrs before. Is that normal? I thought we were not supposed to come off suddenly? And if the tests on Monday morning does that mean I take it on Saturday morning or not?

Good morning, hope all are as well as can be. Following on from cramps in legs to a trip to A&E.
Finally saw a cardiologist, she's booking a nuclear scan (medical doctor said
perfusion
scan) in preparation for my follow up up. Turns out I wasn't taken off list afterall. Or could the gp have gotten through to them that fast from Wednesday?

Unremarkable myocardial perfusion scan with <36 EF
Had NSTEMI thirty months ago and seven stents. Had dissection during procedure. Never had chest pain prior to this but never without since. My 3rd cardiologist discharged me after scan result Now 2 months after the scan I am experiencing angina with pain ]in chest, stomach and back on even moderate

This is similar territory to that reported on the
perfusion
scan previously. I will arrange to review the imaging in our MDT along with the last angiogram.’

MRI from 3-30-2024.
Multiparametric assessment of the prostate was undertaken with the application of multiplanar T2, diffusion, and dynamic
perfusion
series in an attempt to characterize intraprostatic disease distribution and volume.

Prostate MRI results - Advice appreciated
Prostate volume calculated in DynaCAD Prostate Boundary segmentation: 50 cc PERIPHERAL ZONE: Symmetric high signal on T2-weighted imaging with no restricted diffusion or asymmetric
perfusion
. Few linear areas of low signal likely representing scarring.
