Both my MRI on my CT scan showed nothing but yet I have pudendal nerve irritation in the inferior rectal nerve from years of butt clenching tightening my muscles due to extended periods of stress so naturally it will take pelvic floor PT, muscle relaxer ,/ meds,stretching and breathing exercises for a few years to somewhat improve it... may I ask where and what your symptoms are?

Usually on my right side labia majora, the groin area where your underwear line sits and down my leg. Its a burning raw pain but when i look at my skin there is nothing there except maybe occasional swelling. It’s usually brought on by certain pants, prolonged sitting and exercise. I will have good days where i have no pain at all and then random days where it’s terrible. I’d say I’m miserable about 10 days a month, uncomfortable 10 days a month and will sometimes have days I’m perfectly fine.

How did they know you have nerve irritation???

Well I have been going to pelvic floor physical therapy for 8 months once a week and now I get complete weeks of no pain and usually with pn there I pain constantly so we feel it's not pn however I am going to see a neurologist and I'm going to get a MRI of the pudendal nerve area and see if anything's entrapped because the regular MRI doesn't show anything and neither does the CT scan

Dr Wong of the Bristol Team says nothing will show up on MRI. He says waste of time except to exclude other things.
I've read an MRN scan will show something.
Criteria used by Bristol Team for Pudendal Nerve Entrapment is whether pain relived sitting on toilet seat.
Most doctors totally ignorant about Pudendal Nerve.

When mine is super flared up it’s not relieved by anythjng but a warm bath.
MRI scans can be useful in order to rule out other pathologies (such as for example tumours). It's obviously good news that nothing showed up...but the bad news is that pudendal neuralgia is still a possibility, although I don't remember ever reading about anyone with PN having pain down their leg. The criteria for the diagnostic of PN (also known as 'Nantes criteria') are : (1) Pain in the anatomical territory of the pudendal nerve. (2) Worsened by sitting (except on a toilet seat!). (3) Patient not woken at night by the pain. (4) No objective sensory loss on clinical examination. (5) Positive anesthetic pudendal nerve block. PNEhelplease is correct : pudendal nerves can show on a MRN, a relatively new type of imaging technique showing nerves (N stands for Neurography). They are not available everywhere. I hope you will quickly get an answer for there's nothing worse than not having a diagnosis. You may well be offered a nerve block at some stage... Good luck!

I’ve had two nerve blocks previously... no help. 🤷🏻♀️ I have an appointment with a vulvar pain specialist in April.

You seem to be in good hands. I sincerely hope that your April appointment will take you closer to understanding the exact cause of your pain. Pelvic pain is never straightforward. Keep us posted if you can!
I think pudendal neuralgie can t been seen on a mri ( no matter if you have a flare or not ) they diagnose in europe with a nerve block. You can read more info on pudendal hope site
