My son with Kartagener’s just got approved for the home Volara System by Hillrom. Do any of you have any experience with this machine at home? He currently uses the vest system by Hillrom, so I’m curious how they compare. Will keep you posted on our experience as well!

We don’t tend to use vest treatments here in the UK, as the physios generally recommend a more hands on approach to doing chest clearance, where you can feel what’s happening inside. We do physio such as the Active Cycle of Breathing Technique, often alongside adjuncts to help with shifting the mucus up to where it can be coughed out and some also do Autogenic Drainage.

Maybe try the PCD Foundation (link below), which is US based and vest treatments are more the norm, all the best.
