PCD in Babys

I am 20 weeks pregnant and over the past couple of weeks been given the diagnosis through genetic testing that my baby girl has PCD, she also has a few heart problems that I have been told she will need an operation on when she is born. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience or advice on having a baby with PCD?

Hi,Based in The East Midlands

It was an amniocentesis genetics test, taking fluid from around the baby in the womb

Thanks for that, I have been wondering if there was a way to test by baby during the pregnancy but they did not offer me any option here in Ireland. Best of luck to you and your baby

The test I am told, only became available in October at my hospital. So we was able to have it, if not we would of been non the wiser until she was born.I think you might be able to pay privately for it?

My baby is born already so we are waiting to test her by a nose swab.
