Does anyone else have this too?

Hi, i have a slightly embarrassing question to ask. I don't know if it's normal or something I should be concerned about, but i'm too afraid to ask a doctor.

Does anyone else sometimes experience a stringy substance that comes from their vagina? It seems to be somewhat connected with when my sinuses are particularly blocked.

Sorry if this is a gross question...i'm just a little concerned.

Thank you!

Thank you! That is such a relief to hear. Do you have any idea how to get rid of it? Or is that just the same principle as getting rid of it from anywhere else?

I have no idea I'm afraid, usually I just stick a pad in my undies and go with it, it's awful but I'm not sure how to clear it, sorry :( like you it's when I'm congested it happens

Hiya vaginal secretions change throughout the month along with hormone changes. When it turns thick and stringy - rather like egg white - it’s a sign that you’re ovulating. Not sure why that should happen at the same time as your sinuses being blocked... perhaps the hormones affect all secretions??? I personally wouldn’t worry except if you have any pain, discomfort, itching, or irregular bleeding, but always speak to your doctor if you’re worried. Hope this helps!

Thanks that’s actually really helpful! I think I was just looking to much into it and immediately went to panic mode! 😂
