Back to school with PCD

Hi. My Daughter is 11 years old and has Pcd. I am too much stressed cause of sending her to school. Cause of Covid. Anyone can help me regarding this

Hiya ... the PCD Doctors in the UK are recommending that children go back to school if safe to do so. ARe you in the UK? If so, you can contact your PCD Team for specific advice/reassurance. Good luck pcdsupport.org.uk/covid-19-...

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am in uk. They are saying its safe but i remember at the start of all this in March they were not willing to shut the schools even infection rate was going so high. Thats why even they have said its safe for them to go back but as a mom i am stressed.

I can understand you are stressed ... i would be too! (My boys are now grown up both with PCD) and I too worry about them.

Please ring your PCD Nurse and have a chat with them ... they might be able to reassure you. There is a lot more evidence now how Covid effects children and also what treatments work best if you do get it.

Thank you so much for your reply. Its such a hard decision that i dont want her to stay at home as its very important for her mental and social health. I will speak to them again for their advice.
