Swelling, muscle aches and joint pain

I was diagnosed earlier this month. Sine I've been on the medication it seems like I'm zooming down hill. I'm severely swollen to the point of hurting, my joints hurt, an muscles are painfully tight. I'm having difficulty taking care of myself all of a sudden. I'm on Urso 500 twice daily. (But he says I'm in the very early stages)Stages. Any ideas or suggestions? Please help me!! Desperate!!

Joint pain and basically all over pain can come with pbc and stage doesn't matter. That being said if you're concerned it isn't pbc see a rheumatologist to be tested for other things like, RA. Some people get multiple autoimmune diseases, it's common, and if your body has taken off in that direction you may have developed others as well.

Riby so sorry to hear about the muscle discomfort you are experiencing. Similar to you it’s only been a few months since I was diagnosed and it is hard to tell what symptoms are related to PBC. OdinsMom’s suggestion to search for another issue might be a good one..unfortunately something you may not want to hear. I have read a lot of our community making health and diet changes…just a thought about eliminating gluten, dairy or other food allergens and seeing if that helps. Let us know if you find a solution. Thank you all so much for your help!! The doctor has taken me completely off the Urso. I was having some type of reaction to the medication. Once detoxed, we'll look at other options. I will keep you all updated. Thank you all again!!
