Anyone know how long esa back pay takes to come through
It Takes4-6 weeks depending if its a tribunal or an appeal, I found the people I spoke to at DWP were really helpful,try ringing and asking

Hi yer Neata and everyone else. I have been waiting 6 weeks now for my ESA appeal payment and the esa told me on 15/04/13 that it may take another 13 weeks. However DIAL informs me that this is not the case,adding, that the realistic waiting time is between 6 to eight weeks. So all being well I should receive my payment within the next 2 weeks and finally be placed in a support group.I will keep all interested parties informed. Hope this info is some use to you. sorry everyone, but there is a typing error on the 2nd line of my info last input. The 13 week info came from the DWP not the ESA. Hope this clears up any potential confusion.
