Just lately I have been getting really bad aches and pains through the bottom of my right heel, and along the bone on the outside edge of my left foot. Can anyone tell me, is this the sort of thing I can expect from having PBC?

Aches and pains
I have very painful feet. Sometimes it feels as if I am walking on pebbles. I cannot stand or walk for long because my feet burn and throb. My other symptoms are joint, bone and muscle pain, thankfully (touch wood) I do not suffer from the dreaded itch so many others seem to have to cope with.
Hi That is how my feet started - I went on to get fallen arches and ligament damage/arthritis in my feet. If I were you I would seek early intervention to try and stop this happening to you - unfortunately my rheumatologist wouldnt take any notice of me until it was too late!
I have recently experienced acute pain in my right heel, I thought it was plantar faciitus which i have suffered with in the past but despite wearing supportive shoes and inserts its not going away. Its worst first thing in the morning but gets better until I sit down then in starts again. This has happened at the same time as severe pain in the left hand side of my neck? I am seeing my specialist in 2 weeks time so will see what they say. I'll let you know if they thinks its pbc.
Hi it could be plantar fasciitus..or a heel spur. I would go and get it checked out. I had this problem many years ago and was given a course of injections into the bone and it took 4 weeks but it worked.
I get the heel pain, right round the edge and it goes round and up my shin bone as well, it started in my toes, they are now almost solid and won't bend, at times i waddle like a penguin and coming downstairs is hysterical but I just keep trying like you have to.
Hi lindaclark, My toes don't bend easily either, I get difficulty keeping my slippers or shoes on when walking up the stairs, its as if I cannot grip them with my toes to keep them from falling off....mules are impossible!!
I went to see my GP a few months ago about the problem with the right heel. He told me it was likely to be plantar faciitus. He gave me some anti-inflamitry gel to rub in, but that didn't work. I find it's worse in the mornings, it takes me a bit of time to get through to the kitchen. And when I've been walking about, and I finally sit and rest, it feels like my heel is stinging and burning! When I stand up again, it takes several minutes before I can put my full weight on it. Yesterday evening I started getting pains down the left side of my neck.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to respond to my question. This site is a real help
I am therr with you...I was told that it is Plantar Faciitis and it is autoimmune. I had one cortizone injection, and it did help. I especially hurt on the left side of my neck. I use one of the C shaped travel pillows. My things get bad I use hydrocodone.
