Employment and Support Allowance (UK benefit) if you become sick and have worked and paid your national insurance. The support group means you are not expected to work but they do like to keep reviewing it - and that means all those horrid forms !
i applied for dla i am 41 years old , i have pbc and there now looking into fbyromagalia. I have suffered for over 20 years of bad backs ankles, been to see physio's but they just said its bad posture, but i was diagnosed with pbc 4 months ago and now the doctors saying that due to the pbc it could be fybromagalia.
I was turned down for dla as they said i could make a cuppa tea and beans on toast!!
I am a full time carer for my autistic son, my husband works but only on a mimimum wage we get family tax credits to top this up! but my condition is now affecting my ability to care , some days im completely washed out of energy, and unable to move cos of muscle pain, ankle pain so he has to come home early from work to see to my family for me., but other days im completely ok and can walk the dog but have pain after exercise, i just plod along with it, as i have learnt to. just wondering if there was anything that i could get help with as its starting to affect my relationship and my hubby is sympathetic but we have bills to pay and im now having to go look for a job, but because im honest i always declare i have this condition, because i dont want to lie as if i have to take time off work they will understand, but as yet i havent been sucessful in getting a part time job.
because my husband works i dont think i will be entitlted to any help !
