If you are on Rifampicin for itch what dose are you on and does it work on taking itch away completely?

I was on this drug for itch a few years back but didn't help and wonder if maybe I wasn't on the right dose or on it for long enough for it to work?

I take 2 rifampicin a day one in the morning and one in the evening these only worked together with Colesevelem which i also take twice a day. (this was to replace the powders that nauseated me) My itch is bearable now to the point that i can sleep
