recovery from operation

Hello everyone, I had an ovary and fallopian tube removal along with a very large cyst 7 days ago by laparoscopic surgery. A week later and I am very fatigued. Has anyone else had this or another procedure and was your recovery impacted by PBC fatigue? The advice generally is recovery in 2 weeks, but doesn’t feel like that would be possible for me.

The stress of the surgery can certainly impact the degree of fatigue you are having. Just take your time recovering. Any kind of stress can make symptoms worse for many of us. Be patient with yourself.

Yes, I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and my recovery lasted about two weeks longer than was traditional for the procedure. You definitely need to listen to your body and rest. I had to remind myself that although there was little external evidence, my internal parts were still healing. Best wishes for a full recovery.
