Hi, I have not had sickness but I cannot eat greasy foods and rarely eat red meats. I have had to move to a more plant based diet. I eat a lot of salads just now, love red cabbage red onions with a few sultanas, and when winter comes I will go back to soups and stews. Being retired I have time to make them but use an organic stock cube rather than making my own stock. I drink about 2 litres of water a day plus tea and coffee.

I still often feel bloated going from empty to full in seconds.

I have also found that having foods that are good for gut health make me more comfortable, kefir and yoghurt but beware of flavoured ones and avoid hidden sugars.

Hi, I cant eat greasy foods either and feel much better on a more plant based diet too. I don't know exactly why but, I feel my liver, plus lack of bile production because I don't have a gall bladder and the livers inability to do its job properly makes it very difficult for us to digest fat and grease.

I am suffering a bit this morning, we had a healthy serving of veg from the allotment with sweet potato wedges and I ate 1 sausage. It was the low fat ones from aldi that are 95 percent meat...so, I won't be eating those again.

No one understands why all of a sudden I have become almost vegetarian....in their minds anyways lol...

I have decided that I want to eat a little healthier so in a way I have done a positive thing to help me. The other day when my fella was told we are having salad, he kind of said that he didn't mind, but he's a bloke that likes his pastries and a fried breakfast.

I said look at it this way, I'm trying to help my health and yours too and that when he has his yearly medical, he's 57....your cholesterol levels will be a lot better....he just shrugs it off but you know what, his cholesterol was within normal range for the first time in around 6 years....I just giggled and said, I told ya so....

Take care xx
