Hi

I have symptoms but don't have it. I have compensated cirrhosis, liver disease originally caused by meds from my drs over the years. Anyway, I spoke with my Dr today and she said you won't get a letter from NHS but I'm telling you you need to self isolate for 12 weeks because you are vulnerable and have more than one underlying condition. Maybe phone your GP tomorrow. Take care and stay safe. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Hi Lynne, do you mind me asking which medications originally caused your liver disease. I was over prescribed a blood pressure medication for many years. Many thanks. Stay safe. X

Hi Purdy2017

I have PBC and I do not know if I will get a letter from the GP as I suspect there are more priority patients that need early attention than me at my surgery. However I am self isolating with the exception of going out for provisions. I am retired so I do not have to work. Your picture looks as if you are younger and so if you can work from home it is advised. The Prime Minister ramped up control last night and so there may be changes to the advice given on the following link. pbcfoundation.org.uk/news/l...

If you are on Facebook then take a look at the PBC Foundation facebook page where the CEO of the PBC Foundation has made an up to date video giving sound advice.

Hi, I'm on the high risk group as I've had a transplant.. And have pbc as well. I'm not sure that pbc in itself is a high risk category... It may depend on where you are with your condition and any other complications...

I've had a txt from gov but they are backing that up with letters as well, give it a fews and if you want you can ring and ask gp or consultants secretary...

It basically says to stay in your house.. At which point I panicked at the thought of being indoors.. However it does go on to say you can sit by an open door... If you are 6ft from neighbours So I think it's a blanket statement to keep everyone safe wether you have a flat or balcony, or tiny garden...

You presumably can self isolate yourself... But I hope that gives you a little information...

Best wishes cazer

I got a text yesterday following a recent transplant. I don't think PBC is considered high risk

I have PBC and so far have not been put on the shielded list for this, it seems those who do have a condition and are on the list will be notified by 29th of this month.

I’ve put the link to the Gov web page where you can read all the information and where you register if you are in the shielded category and need help.

But Given we are now in lock down no one should be going out only for essential shopping and a once a day exercise or to go to and from work where that is still deemed essential.

I’am really sad now my poor little dog is going to have only one walk a day and he’s a young dog it breaks my heart. , my partner is someone on the shielded list so can no longer walk him. I think I may have to get him re-homed, the dog I mean not my partner... but then again ....

Keep your dog if you can exercise him once a day as you are allowed to but who will notice if it’s twice a day, the dog will bring you joy and comfort in the weeks ahead, play with it in the garden or indoors with toys it will help to pass the long days too. We don’t need sad things at this moment. Keep social distancing ( wish more would) and stay positive. Good luck good health

Thank you, I will be doing all I can that’s for sure. This morning I went out very very early before anyone was up. So I’am going out again later which, I hate to flout the rules but my health/ mental health is more important to me and my little 🐶 will be precious now I can’t see family. I’ve had to put up with those who don’t keep their distance so now it’s my turn for now anyway. Stay safe and well.

Good choice, dogs bring so much comfort which we need at the moment. I’m sad as I can’t see my grand children. Let’s hope this lock down saves the UK from being in the state that Italy and Spain are in. Enjoy your pup and keep safe

my partner and I run a doggie daycare home boarding and walking service, I have abc, we are still walking dogs for those that are vulnerable, isolated or shielding, we are arranging no contact collections wherever possible (dog to put in garden etc) so see if you can find someone local to you who may be able to help, you pet will be so important to you as this intensifies <3

Thank you, I’ll have a look but I know my dog border/ walker/ groomer has stopped trading. Maybe there are volunteers somewhere near. Stay safe and well.

I don’t think we’ll get a letter, however, I know my immune system is not good therefore it makes sense to me to self isolate.
