Tiredness
Hi Purdy, I'm currently AMA-M2 positive with normal ALP level, and I am not given a liver biopsy yet. I'm sorry that you feel a lot more tired lately. May I ask what got you diagnosed? Is it AMA-M2 positive and elevated ALP ? Or is it liver biopsy?
Tiredness or fatigue is a recognised symptom of PBC which may occur at any time and like the itch is not an indicator of disease progression/stage. You may like to ask your PCP for a tyroid test just in case its not PBC. If there is a chance to have your vitamin and mineral levels checked as well it might be useful. There is some wisdom from those who know better than I that to exercise is to energise and I am told that even laughing can be exercise which is great news. Have a look at your diet if it contains a lot of processed foods that may impact on your liver which has a knock on effect. Once you have gone through a process of elimination and still have fatigue then it is from PBC. Best wishes
