Does anyone have experience with pregnancy and postpartum with PBC? I had slightly elevated liver enzymes (I’m stage one and well managed) before pregnancy and everything came within normal range during pregnancy. I’m assuming due to hormones. Now I am four months postpartum and my bloods have come back three times higher then they were when I was at my worst and untreated. Would love to hear anyone else’s experiences. Is this normal? Do they even out over time or is there damage done from the process of childbirth? Thanks

I know there are a few other ladies that have recently had babies as well. If you don't find anyone here take a look at one of the Facebook groups. That might have been where I saw them.
My bloods went a lot higher after I had my baby, apparently the placenta also releases some of the same enzymes they test with your liver function which can push the results higher than usual. Mine gradually came back down, I think it’s easy to forget just what pregnancy does to our bodies and how long the recovery is.
