Hello, I have been diagnosed with PBC since November 2016, and been on Urso since early 2017
I saw my gastro consultant, in February this year and have received a copy of the letter sent to my Gp and Liver nurse. He states that my alp was 134, and otherwise blood work was unremarkable.
He has referred me to a Haematologist and has discharged me from he's clinic. I see my liver nurse in June.
Has anyone been referred to a Haematologist?
Feeling worried at the moment.

No never been referred to a haematologist, best thing to do is speak to your GP and see what they think. Sorry I can’t offer any help but hopefully your GP will know why x
Good Morning....I was referred to a hematologist a few years back. They are wizards in figuring out your lab work. Mine was in reference to my TSH being super low(I've had a total thyroidectomy), and my CRP being crazy high. They look at the big picture . I would be happy, not worried as they will get to the bottom of the issue and see the intricate relationship between all of the systems. Is it safe to assume you are having or have had recent full workups on your labs? Be well
I see a hematologist because my platelets are low (30-50) and over the years have occasionally crashed to below 20. I take a steroid pulse when they crash to bring them up. It's possible I may need a more aggressive treatment in the future like Rituxan so I want a hematologist on my team.
