Turkey tail mushroom

Has anyone been advised to take turkey tail mushroom tablets? They think it helps the T cells to fight back.

I think it’s supposed to boost the immune system so not sure it’s a great idea. I might be wrong but I think our immune system is what’s attacking our bile ducts. Please someone step in if I’ve got it wrong.

Hi Wocket, i have been getting sick with lung infection very frequently.. so I wanted to try and boost my immune system with a immune support supplement.

Are you saying immune support supplement are bad for us PBCer?

I wouldn’t boost my immune system but have you though about a salt pipe. My dad used to swear by them.

Hey Wocket,

Just wanted to say Thanks for telling me about the salt inhaler, i have been using it for the past week and a half after purchasing it online, it has helped with clearing up my cough.

Doctors never mentioned anything about salt inhaler ☹️ ( that’s why this Group is great as people like you share good tips) 👍🙂

Thank you Wocket for sharing this information,, my husband suffers every winter with a nasty chest cough , so I'm going to purchase a salt pipe for him to try out!

No you're right wocket... It is our antibodies which atack the little bile ducts in the liver causing the scarring, so boosting these seems a very bad idea...

I'm on immuno suppression after having a transplant... So a def no go...

Are we talking about for pbc haking..??
