sorry to read this janine541, I assume this is all to do with the consultant needing to see you as you had to come off the trial and now not taking any medications. I do hope "they" can get you balanced and when you get home today have a good rest. keep us posted.

best wishes for today

janine541- I'm sorry for your troubles. Please tell the consultant about your extreme tiredness and exhaustion. Doctors are asked to pay attention and treat the symptoms of PBC because it is a lifetime illness that they cannot cure. But they can make it easier for you to live with. Make it very clear that you don't know if you can survive feeling this bad. Ask him what are the treatment options for this side effect of PBC. Just judging from what you say, it sounds like you should not be working at the moment. After your appointment, why not phone Collette or Robert? They will help.

Janine, I too have felt exhausted. A sleep study was ordered, which I did last night. A brief diagnosis was given of severe sleep apnea. The second suggestion came from my GI, whom I had to really push to help me as he stated that tiredness is NOT associated with PBC. When I replied, “not true” he referred me to an Endocrinologist to test and treat my adrenals and thyroid. Along with getting set-up with a C-pap I hope this referral helps.

Best of luck to you, and others with similar problems. Please, let us know how you progress with this difficulty.
