Please help ! My fibroscan result 12.6 kPa: What's could be the issue? How to reverse it ?

Fibroscan result: 12.6 kPa , UAP:183 dB/m. All other liver function tests are normal. Age 26 , male , have been a heavy drinker since 2 years .. Sober since last 2 months.

Can anybody help me with these reports ? How worse are these values ?

Thanks.

The fact that you have given up drink will help strange that all other function tests are normal

As you have stopped drinking you should see an improvement at your next test. Obesity which may cause fatty liver will also impact on a fibroscan so a diet is to be strongly recommended. At your next fibroscan make sure you have fasted for at least 6 hours prior to the test.

Have you been diagnosed with PBC? If not you may have one of several conditions of the liver which when caught early can be reversed with healthy diet, low sodium/salt no processed foods and no sugary drinks.

As to how bad your values are I would think this is best discussed with your doctor/specialist who will know what your diagnosis is and what you can best do to help yourself. Your profile is hidden so it is not possible to know which country you are in to point you in the direction of the best support groups.
