I would like to know if pain I get on my side, front, or back is from the PBC? Sometimes it’s very sharp almost feels like a UTI.

Pain
Could be your liver. Mine pains from time to time Make a note of it like how often and exactly where so you can discuss it with your specialist x
I quite frequently get sharp twinges in my right hand side and some times dull ache where my liver is. My consultant does not seem to be concerned.
I had a constant “dull ache” in the upper right side for months and was subsequently diagnosed with PBC. What led me to the dr initially was unexplained lower back pain and elevated alk phos. I’ve always had significant fatigue where I would fall asleep during the day and wake up feeling as though I had never slept.. even after 10 hours. I’ve had “bone” pain as well, mostly in my legs and ankles. Since starting the URSO and eating a low carb diet, I feel SO much better. my numbers are good now and the dr said just keep eating clean and take the med. I think with any autoimmune disease.. it will affect every individual a bit differently. Keep good notes of your symptoms..even the smallest ones and ask LOTS of questions.. I am a nurse and had to really push my pcp for the GI referral, which is what led to testing for AMA’s. Be your own best advocate 😊 all the best to you..
I occasionally experience slight pain on my right side right below my ribcage. Mentioned it to my liver doctor but he says you cant feel pain in the liver. He just thinks I pulled a muscle. But i think the medical community just does not know. I am convinced it is related to pbc.
