Microbladed eyebrows - question for the ladies 😁

My dear ladies...first of all, I don't know what I would do without this community. I have so many questions related to this stupid disease and I always get the answer from you lot. If I could, I would hug you all. 🤗 Now, my question. I had my eyebrows microbladed before I found out that I have PBC. Apparately you can't have them done if you have an autoimmune disease. Is that the case? I'd like to have them done again and I don't know if it's safe. Thank you my lovelies 😊🤗

Personally I think microblading is tattooing & the ink or chemicals might get into our systems. Not sure how that might impact the liver as everything that gets in our bodies are processed by the liver.

You might want to check with your pbc doctor just to be sure. Anything we tell you here is based on hearsay plus it might also depend on your specific pbc situation.

Hello

I had my micro blade done in 2017 I already had pcb for 3yrs already.Mine lasted 18 months and I didn’t have a lot of scans or itching during the process. I would love to microblade again but the lady went up on her price so I decided to wait until I found another person who i would be comfortable doing the microblade again

Hi I’ve only recently been diagnosed with pbc. Confirmed 2 weeks ago & have just stumbled across your post. I had mine done 18 months ago & just last week had a top up. It never even occurred to me that It could be a problem? Although she did ask me if anything had changed with my health since I had them done last time, I didn’t really want to get into it so I just said no. Having said that when I saw the hepatologist for the first time he told me that he thinks I’ve had this for some time, he was looking through previous blood tests id had in the past showing abnormal liver tests from 3 years back, no one ever followed it up & I was unaware (I’m 42) I also had a Fibroscan which wasn’t in the “normal” range apparently.

Anyway I guess when I had it done the first time I must have had this disease & didn’t even know! Not caused me any issues as far as I’m aware x
