No, it’s not. Maybe you are a non responder. Your hepatologist should think about that and look at what else to do.
My alp is still high but my hep says my bloods stable so you need to speak to your hepatologist
My alp has was 214 then 216 then 176 then 211 then 205 then now 225.
My ALP went down from about 700 to about 150 with Urso. This week is was 225 after several years on Urso. I saw my consultant yesterday but he wasn’t at all concerned that it was up to 225. I guess they will monitor it.
If your baseline ( first test) was 214 then your numbers show a steady increase over the year. Although 225 in itself is not that high, it’s a little over what my doctor is happy with (200). Your bloods can and probably will fluctuate over time however, if this is your first year I would discuss it with your doctors.
Are you on the correct dosage of Urso, for your body weight. 13/15mg per Kg weight being on the correct amount makes a big difference. What are your other numbers, there are so many variables which determine if your responding. You do need to speak to your doctors to get a clear picture.
I weight 165 and on 1250
I have a sneaking suspicion Urso will keep it elevated.
I made a graf on excell where I keep a record of all the blood tests I have had over the last 10+ years. It is over the long term that you can see fluctuations, at the moment your body is hopefully responding to the URSO and coming to terms with your new you. If you are feeling well within yourself then I would suggest it is better to build a picture over the next few years rather than stress on current markers.
best wishes
