Morning all. I've looked through past posts and can't seem to find anything that relates. I took 'loading' dose of vitamin d last night and have woken up in agony with aches and pains in arms and legs. I don't have to take another dose till next week (2 x 20000) p wk. Has anyone else found this happens?
Thanks

They gave me 150000 a week for 12 weeks I forget the name of the vitamin D prescription.. my muscles ache all the time unless I'm doing a prednisone combo which is what am I am on now
Never heard of taking vitaminD, giving you aches and pains. However being deficient can cause bone pains. I would have a word with the pharmacist or prescribing Doctor in case that dose is wrong for you.
Treatment of vitamin deficiency can make you feel worse. Building new bone is painful. I started on 4000mg vitamin D3 and 1000mg B12, it took a year for my levels to reach normal but I felt 50% better after about 3 months. I have never missed a vitamin dose. Cutting out sugar, gluten and bad fats is essential as well or the vitamin treatment may not work as well and you may get discouraged. It's only food and there are plenty of things to eat that don't have the bad stuff. Did you get your B12 checked too? Did your doctor prescribe K2 to take with the D?
